Conscience and Confucius

Pastor Boeck, of late your humble servant here has been studying the teaching of Confucius.  He observes when we are in a quandry about what to do, we need to stop and reflect on our heritage, our ancestors, the generations before us, and they will provide insight into what we need to do.  How did LCMS form?  How central was freedom of conscience to it?  How much does this align with our Puritan heritage of conscience in the USA?  How does Sharia Law reconcile with our heritage?  You know more about the origins of the LCMS than does this writer; this writer knows the LCMS grounded him in the crucial value of conscience, and not violating it.  Protecting our heritage from attacks by American atheists or Sharia Muslims is our duty because conscience tells us it is wrong to force us to go against what we know to be right, our heritage from generations past.  I hope all who read this will pause to reflect on their particular family heritage and what it teaches them.  I reflect on mine; I realize how blessed I was to have the LCMS shape, form me.  Paul
