Leadership Here, There, Everywhere

Serena, yes, our society, culture is obsessed with leadership this, leadership that, leadership there, leadership everywhere.  Simply stated, a leader is the keeper, guardian, champion, implementer of the core values of the group.  Leadership in the final analysis is about having consistent core values and acting on them good and hard.  Ideally, each person ought to be his or her own leader, and not have to rely on, look to others to provide top-down direction when it comes to values.  However, realistically, people are I n different stages of ethical development.  Enter the role model to help ground, nurture, educate them in ethical values, behaviors.  Of course, this is an ideal; meanwhile, we do need individual persons to set the "ethical agenda," the leader.  Good job.  Thank you.  Dr. Rux
