Ethical Consistency
Derrick, this is thoughtful, thorough, and "hits the ethical nail on the head" good and hard with one word: consistent. As we have discussed in our course, Immanuel Kant teaches the Categorical Imperative. It means "what is good for the goose is good for the gander." Kant argues for consistency in our ethical behavior and against having "double standards" for how we treat others and ourselves. If a double standard exists, somebody is exploiting somebody. You clearly grasp the central importance of consistency in your ethical behavior toward others. Kant is smiling down on you! Good job! Dr. Rux
