Encouragement and Coaching

Bonnie, yes, as we have often discussed in our course, a core ethical duty for teachers is to encourage learners to know themselves, value themselves, and fully develop themselves.  God gives each one of us special gifts.  We honor God when we respect these God-given gifts in others and nurture them.  Yes, of all the words in education, encouragement is the very best, most important, and most ethical.  This writer attended a half-day workshop on how to start your own business last week.  At the end, one of the presenters asked me to sum up my assessment of it.  I said, "Above all, you presented the information in such a way that not only did we get information but we also got tremendous encouragement to go for it!  Yes, coaching, encouragement.  I love them both, as do you.  Dr. Rux
