Confucius Teaches How to Combat Confusion

INOVCATION:  Madison West Rotary, Paul Rux, 5-8-14

All of us reach “forks in the road” in our lives.

All of us face making decisions – often important decisions.

All of us need help, guidance so we make the right decisions.

Confucius, the Chinese philosopher, says when we are confused and do not know which “road” to take,

We need to step back and take time to reflect on the people who have gone before us,

What they achieved, how they prevailed,

What their heritage to us is,

And if we listen to them, reflect on their examples,

We will know what to do.

The survival of the human race is a partnership between generations, past, present, and future.

If we want to survive we need to listen to and learn from the generations who have gone before us.

If we listen to them we will know how to make wise decisions.
