Mother gets even!

As we start week/module 5 we are now moving beyond our course's halfway point.  Think roller coaster.  We have passed the "hump" in our ride and are now spiraling downward to the finish line.  Thank you for your excellent work to date!  You are among the best students to be in a course with me, and I have been teaching online since 1999, and doctoral students since 2008!  Also, it is amazing to be teaching for Concordia.  Here is one of the reasons why.  When my late mother was a young woman, she had a boy friend who was a Concordia Teachers College grad and taught parochial school.  My mom was a beautician - and had three shops of her own when she met my dad!  She brought him into the business.  Anyway, the teacher dumped mother because she did not have a college degree!  Now, her son, your professor, is on the teaching faculty at Concordia University!  Talk about twists of fate.  In effect, mother has "gotten even" with this teacher in a funny sort of way.  Frankly, I am glad things took the turn they did, for my father then had a chance to court mom, and as they say, the rest is history.  Their love and ethical example guide me to this day.  Dr. Rux
