Ethical Factors - Menu 1

Group 1, this is oustanding!  Here is some feedback on key points in your PowerPoint, which is excellent!
1.  Habit - Yes, ethical behavior involves habits, good, bad, breaking them, and acquiring them.  Aristotle took this approach.  Ethics are habits.
2.  Stop and reflect - Yes, we need to take "time outs" to reflect on our ethical behavior, or lack of it.  This ought to occur on a regular basis.  This writer likes to take walks in nature to engage in this kind of reflection.
3.  Secularism - Yes, secularism takes a materialistic approach to ethics.  Basically, it the Darwinian idea that our environments shape us for better or worse.  However, as you suggest, it is possible to transcend our environments, but it takes perspective, strength, and courage.
4,  Mentors - Yes, it helps to have an ethical mentor.  This writer has one.  It is one of his former Ph.D. professors at the University of Wisconsin - Madison.  God has blessed this writer with putting this professor back into my life two years ago.  We all need a "second set of eye balls."
