Ethical Convergence

Johnel, the heart of your approach reflects Kant.  People are ends not means to an end.  Or, as the Bible states, and your restate here, treat others as we would want to be treated.  Nobody wants to be treated like to tool, throw-away widget, as somebody to be used.  It is amazing how truth converges.  The Bible argues for treating others with respect; Immanuel Kant, a leading philosopher of the Age of Reason, makes the same argument only with different words.  St. Thomas Aquinas pointed out that all honest knowledge in the final analysis converges on the Truth.  Indeed, you offer an example of such convergence here, a convergence of theology with philosophy, faith with reason.  Dr. Rux
