Ducks Waddle
Yes we can learn lots of wisdom for Oriental religions that in effect restate Christian principles. Your humble servant here is a student of Chinese Taoism and Confucius; he has gained practical insight into how to lead a constructive live that in no way contradicts his Christian Faith. In fact, it confirms the validity of the Faith. Continue to study, reflect on, and apply principles, values, techniques from these Eastern philosophies, value systems, for they can ground us in practical forms of action as we deal with others. For instance, in Taoism the concept of "As-Is" alerts us to the limits of change we can expect in others, if any. We must first ground ourselves in facts, reality before formulating plans of action. We must understand the situation, stakeholders "As Is." Do not engage in wishful thinking. Ducks waddle. Cranes walk. Ducks can never walk; cranes can never waddle. As Is. Accept and work with it.
