Once Upon a Time in Dublin, Ireland

Eric (Margolis), thank you, again, for another superb analysis (American defeat in Afghanistan this time). Years ago, I was in Dublin, Ireland, at Christ Church, a Norman Conquest construction. Anyway, on the north wall was a plaque to the memory of a British/Irish officer who had perished in Afghanistan in the 1800's placed there by his “brother officers.” I recall reading it and saying to myself, “I am glad my country does not engage in such ventures.” That was then. This is now. Take care. Keep up your good work.
