Logos, Logic, St. Thomas Aquinas and Science

Douglas, the EDD is a degree in a social science. Accept it. It seems you are.

As advised earlier in feedback from your humble servant here, you can find social science theories, language that restates your theological interests, values in professional social science language.

St. Thomas Aquinas, one of my academic heroes, pointed out that all truth converges into one Truth.

He points out that religious principles and the principles of science, if followed properly and understood clearly, do not contradict each other. In fact they converge, overlap.

In other words, Aquinas argued that there is no contradiction between Science and Revelation.

He has been my guide over these many years. He could help you too. For example, the Gospel of John starts with the statement "In the beginning was the Word." In the original text, the Word is Greek "Logos," from which we get the word logic.

Quantum Physics, the state-of-art view of the universe today, points out that deep reality consists of energy flows, but behind them exists a Logic, Logos, "Word" that tells them what to do and how to do it, although we cannot see this Logic. It is there.

The point is Quantum Physics and St. John's Gospel converge.

Find similar convergences for your EDD research - and professional activities beyond your degree. Thanks. Dr. Rux
