Psycho-Babble Versus Discipline

This is fascinating.  As a rule, students denounce Rhee as a devil.  You are the first to see her as a responsible CEO doing a hard, needed job of establishing accountability where none had existed.  Management is about "carrots" (rewards and workplace support and growth) and "sticks" (punishments and consequences).  As a rule, we talk endlessly about "carrots," for it aligns with the worship of psychology in our culture.  Often it is "psycho-babble."  The result of psychologizing everything to "death," blinds us to the realities of having to use "sticks" (discipline) at times too.  Thank you for restoring some balance to the overall assessment of Rhee.  Dr. Rux
