To learn first unlearn.

Brandy, this is a powerful personal journey.  It reminds me very much of the Chinese Taoist teaching about unlearning.  To learn we must unlearn.  To progress, we must leave behind what we thought we knew so well.  Your personal story is one of unlearning in order to learn.  As you point out, it is working for you still as you continue to grow as a person of wisdom, insight, and ethical balance.  Yes, to learn we must first unlearn.  Your humble servant here has come to the same conclusion as have the Taoists.  You have too.  Good job.
