XYZ, your humble servant has reviewed your dissertation draft again.
Here is a possible opportunity for you. It goes this way. You are keen about the conflict between the profit model of education (turning everything into a racket, which is a unique American skill according to the late Albert Jay Nock) is "spot on." It may be career dangerous, however, for you to write, speak, train about this issue, for you do not know where you may need to get a job yet in the future. However, it is a key ethical issue; it deserves "airing." You have enough ammo here to do a "bang up" (pun) job with it. Think about it.
Also, you touch on intellectual property, IQ, as I call it. As we become more and more creative with media, how much IQ property goes to the creative instructor, or is everything going to be "canned?" The issue is pay for time. If instructors are to embellish courses with tech apps, who will pay them for their time, or are they going to do it for free? This ethical issue really needs discussion big time, for your humble servant here has met it at another online university where he also works right now.
So, you have two "hot topics" embedded in this research which could provide fame and fortune for you, or possibly trip you. The issues merit airing; you have done background work good and hard on them. Think on gaining more ROI, return on investment for your hard work, again. Weigh however possible blowback in job markets. However, chairing a panel on these issues in which you are not the target vendor would be a way to have it both ways.
Yes, you are an ethical person, which is why these issues catch your attention. I am hoping the math on pro and con ends up pro. Excellent job! Dr. Rux
