Conscience is our American heritage.

This is a first-class personal ethical statement. Two aspects of it captured the special attention of your humble servant here.  One, you underscore the central importance of conscience in shaping ethical decisions.  Amen.  America's Puritan, New England heritage is conscience, for the Puritans fled England for the sake of conscience.  If we pay attention to our history, roots, origins, heritage, we will know what to do ethically.  Two, yes, our course has been a special "time out" for students to step back and take a close critical look at their own personal ethics.  Clearly, our course has been a success for you have not only examined yours on the way into the course, but you have nurtured and strengthened them because of our course.  Great!  Good job!   Dr. Rux
