Biological Facts Versus Ethical Relativism

Derrick, you "cover all of the bases" here thoughtfully, and thoroughly.  Thank you.  Your humble servant however disputes your Ethical Relativism.  Here is how.  Plato defines ethics as behaviors that do not injure others or ourselves.  Notice the word is behaviors, doing.  It is a scientific, universal, medical fact that people, unless they are diseased in their minds, do not welcome physical, or emotional, pain.  It is the basic pleasure/pain principle of biology.  This biological reality provides a basis for a universal standard in ethics.  Nobody in his or her right mind, for instance, welcomes a blow in the head with a baseball bat.  Think biology, not sociology.  This will help you to accept an objective, universal standard for ethical behavior.  Thanks.  Dr. Rux
