Lifelong learning as a key to survival in the workplace.
Darlene, this is the kind of feedback an educator loves. It documents your having gained immense practical value from our course. This is truly heart-warming to an educator, as you know. In particular, you mention the need for ongoing personal, professional development. Bingo! If we continue to grow, we are not afraid to nurture others, since they cannot catch up with us! We grow. They grow. As long as both grow, the subordinate cannot catch up with and displace us. It is the leader, manager who has stopped growing who becomes paranoid about subordinates overtaking him or her if they grow professionally, personally. As you point out, if we grow, we are not afraid to help others to grow. This is a rather brutal rationale for lifelong learning, but it is a fact of life in the world of work. Good job! Dr. Rux
