Jeanine, I am reading a study of Confucius. He puts teacher-student relationships at the top of his guides to living a humane life. You are in effect fostering and following in this tradition with your work with teachers and their student impacts. I love it! Check out Confucius sometime on what he terms "right relationships" to grow harmony in society. After father-son comes master-student. Note how he starts with the organic family first, but right after it comes the student-teacher bond. For Confucius, only education can make us fully human and moral in the process. I concur.

- Paul Rux holds three degrees from the University of Wisconsin - Madison: Ph.D. (Educational Leadership & Policy Analysis), M.A.L.S. (Library & Information Studies), B.A. (History & Integrated Liberal Studies). He holds a M.A. in Educational Theory from the University of Toronto, where he was a Graduate Fellow.
