Rest, recreate, reconnect

Gentle people, I have read and responded to your assignments for module 2.  Overall, you continue to do first-class work!   Keep it coming!  My wife and I drove 4 hours north from our Madison, Wisconsin area home (Mt. Horeb) to Lac du Flambeau in northern Wisconsin, near Lake Superior.  The town sits squarely in the middle of an Indian reservation (Ojibway) which encompasses 11 - yes eleven - crystal-clear, clean, wooded lakes!

We attended the wedding of a son of our old dear friends; we experienced "Walden Pond."  The wedding was held lakeside; the bride and her attendants arrived by pontoon boat decorated with balloons!  Moreover, it was a bright, sunny, warm day, and as you can tell the goodness of the event, its people, its purpose, its place has warmed our hearts.  Therefore, when I got home today and had a chance to read your upbeat assignments, you have added further glow to our weekend!   I thank you for this.

It is easy to overlook the goodness in the world because of the insane mass media negativity around us.  Yes, as your humble servant here chides his students, we need, all of us, including your truly here, to take time to rest, recreate ourselves, and reconnect those whom we love.  It is true.  Thank you for a great module 2!   I look forward to an equally great module 3 from you!  Dr. Rux
