With Christmas coming and gift toys likely already purchased, this writer cannot image the grief of parents whose children were murdered today at school in Connecticut. This writer can find only one comfort. It comes from the Bible. Jesus taught that it would be better if you "drowned in the sea with a millstone around your neck" before you would harm a child. In other words, given
God's justice, you would be better off to kill yourself here and now than to face God's eternal wrath for harming, killing a child, who enjoys the eternal protection of God's sure justice. There are, in short, according to the Bible, limits beyond which even God will no longer forgive. This may be of little or no comfort to the parents of the murdered children, but it helps this writer to cope a bit.
