Quasi, you document a basic fact of business - and of life. Nobody likes surprises in management, especially if they are bad ones. Of course, we like good surprises; most often we get bad ones. My tax accountant did this to me. I changed accountants this year because my previous tax attorney filed my taxes late - and the IRS came after me. The result was $1,000 in legal bills. So the new accountant dilly dallies too and I got three late penalty fines from the IRS and state revenue department. I am going to get a new accountant again. The sums of money this year were small, but the issue is I did not want any repeat of late filing penalties at all. As I said to the junior accountant when I vented directly in the office, "If you cannot get this right, what else have you done that is not right and is going to jump our of the closet at me as another negative surprise?"
