Derrick, you touch on four topics of special interest to your humble servant here.  One, teachers inspire.  They love their subject matter so much that it shows and rubs off on students.  Next, yes, teachers respect students; students also need to respect teachers.  Sadly, student respect for teachers is deteriorating.  Yes, part of inspiring students to love learning is to continue as a teacher to be a lifelong learner yourself!  Be current.  Be ahead.  Stay razor sharp!  Also, this writer lauds your value or originality.  Sadly, as this writer has shared in our course in several messages, the factory model of education more and more is crushing scope, room, autonomy for any kind of originality.  Again, your professor here has commented on this factory approach already in emails to all members of our course.  He is not optimistic about originality.  Dr. Rux
