Time to Be Authentic

As you describe your situation, what jumps out is the word "time."  You, as are other actively engaged persons in our society today, are severely pressed for time.  As you note, career creates time pressures, family creates time pressures, so, in the end, it is hard to find time for yourself, ourselves to take care of ourselves as we ought to do in a healthy way out of self-respect.  Pollster John Zogby has noted that more and more people are willing to take less in the way of career advancement and pay increases in order to have more time for themselves and those whom they love.  Ethics, our behaviors, stem from what we value.  Until we embrace healthy values, habits, we cannot treat ourselves properly in terms of health needs.  Healthy minds, bodies, in turn, as you observe, lead to healthy ethics.  You are not alone in this!   Dr. Rux
