New England Puritan Conscience
Victoria, in other words, you hold conscience to be your guide. We are as you point out accountable to our "inner voice" and "moral compass." In the end we cannot avoid ourselves, our capacity to think and act morally as individuals, and must answer to ourselves. This sense of conscience drove the Puritans to found New England. Conscience is a founding value, principle of America; hopefully we will restore it to health again. Thanks. Dr. Rux
