Nadine, yes, good sales start with outcomes. This is standard in training offerings that come from commercial companies weekly in the mail, snail and email, to your humble servant here. Then, the customer, learner can hold the teacher's, vendor's "feet to the fire" if it falls short of expectations, claims. Two years ago, this writer paid a good price to attend a workshop on social media. The punk who presented was a long-haired, bearded adolescent who spent the program time telling dirty jokes. We learned zero about social media except for how to use it to promote sleazy smut. One, I got a refund. Two, I have never attended an event of this group again. Nor would I recommend it. Stats tell us every customer will impact 250 others for or against us. Vulgarity never sells, not among serious professionals.
