Happy July 4th. I hope all of you find time to recreate, reconnect with family and friends during this American holiday week. For the veterans of the armed forces of our country, we give you a special thanks for helping to preserve our American freedoms, one of which is being able to conduct courses like this because of "free speech," a core American freedom. For students in our course from other countries, we are happy to share this freedom with you too. My wife and I host an annual picnic for friends and family this weekend, so we are excited about being with those we love and for whom we care in person. I am blessed to have students like you. - Paul Rux holds three degrees from the University of Wisconsin - Madison: Ph.D. (Educational Leadership & Policy Analysis), M.A.L.S. (Library & Information Studies), B.A. (History & Integrated Liberal Studies). He holds a M.A. in Educational Theory from the University of Toronto, where he was a Graduate Fellow. He also attended Trinity College, University of Dublin, as a special one-year student in the Honours School of History and Political Science. He is a founding member of the Knights of Divine Mercy. His wife Jane and he live in Mt. Horeb, Wisconsin. They have four grandchildren, the delights of their lives. He is an active member of the World Future Society, has published in its journal The Futurist, and presented at its annual international conference.
