Edward, what is sad is we turn to ethics excactly when laws collapse. The horrific financial scandals are not under investigation and the banksters who are engaged in economic terrorism have nothing to fear. It is at such times in history that we turn to ethics - religion too - as a way to restore order. The emphasis on ethics again tells us that our legal system is dead for all practical purposes when it comes to containing financial crime against society. I reference Will and Ariel Durant's Lessons of History here. We are going to relearn this lesson again, good and hard, sadly.
