Forget Forgiveness - Pursue Justice

Tamika, on August 11, 2001, a young woman whose mother this writer dated over a period of four years was driving home from a movie with her boy friend in the Twin Cities, MN. A drug dealer out on parole fleeing police went through a stop light and crashed into her car, killing her instantly and crippling the young man for life from the waist down. Of course, the mutant escaped unharmed. Although her mother and I had been parted for two years, this young woman kept in touch with me as a substitute father, since her own father ignored her after remarrying. When the news came, I collapsed into a chair. I have never been the same since - and do not forgive persons who kill other people through misconduct. I helped her mother to bury her and I testified in the court trial. The mutant who killed her got 25 years; when he gets out he will find he has made some new friends.
