Last night, your humble servant here attended a holiday picnic.
At it was his friend Rusty, who does international engineering design and project management. His recent assignment was in Dubai.
As we munched our picnic fare, he lamented the state of the USA on its July 4, 2010 birthday. He described its condition as a "Zombie Nation," an example of the "walking dead."
Americans do not realize yet they are in fact a "Zombie Nation" which more and more is unable to defend and feed itself, the first two duties of a country.
America, Rusty noted, is for all practical purposes degenerate and dead because of it. It is in the habit of thinking of itself as a winner, but, in fact, it is now a loser compared with other countries.
Rusty was sad. He wondered what the patriots who sacrificed to create this once-great nation would think about a society that no longer has a work ethic and discipline at all levels.
It was America's birthday, but there is precious little left to celebrate in a "Zombie Nation."
